In Class of 09 Episode 3, we got a clue of what was happening in the bureau and how AI had entirely taken over the day-to-day operations, which made Tayo Michaels’ precarious position even more apparent. Amos Garcia’s passing in the Class of 2009 episode before him also raised a lot of issues. He felt like he was slain for wanting to speak up because there were many who wanted to keep the truth hidden. Ashley Poet, on the other hand, was unsure of whom to trust or whether Garcia genuinely posed a threat to the country or was merely a victim of the unfair system. Let’s see what transpired in the third episode and whether Ashley Poet was able to uncover the hidden motives driving Amos Garcia’s killing.

Why Did Lennix Want To Shut Down Hour s New Software?
Lennix and other senior FBI personnel had doubts about what Hour Nazari was attempting to accomplish. There was a notion that the bureau would no longer require the agents since her software would replace them. We can infer that their fear was a result of their ignorance and that Hour’s software was not intended to pose a threat to the status quo. Lennix was trying to stop her program, which is why we saw in earlier episodes of theClass of 09 that he had ordered Ashley to watch over Hour. Ashley Poet understood that by spying on her, she would betraying the confidence of one of her closest friends, but she also understood that it was preferable that she did it herself rather than have someone else do it. She was aware that she needed to be in charge of the situation if she wanted to control the outcome. Being a shrewd individual, Hour Nazari understood that Ashley had been assigned to watch out for her due to her sudden move to the department. Hour didn’t reveal to Poet until the day of her engagement that she had known why she had joined her department.
Better Tomorrow was the name of Hour’s program, and its goal was to build a database with all the details of each and every case that the agents looked into. It was reliant on the information that the agents provided for it, and nowhere did it try to take their place and perform its own inference. It was essentially a library where you could access all of the knowledge that ordinarily nobody would remember. The database had the aggregate knowledge of every agent, and as a result, the dots were connected and leads were easily located. The agents were worried that it would replace them, but Hour addressed their worries and assured them that it was not what they were thinking when she presented it to Lennix and other officials. Lennix also thought that Hour’s lack of faith in other people was a result of events in her past.
The bureau’s investigation revealed that Agent Nazari may have anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and many other conditions that had suppressed her individuality. It goes without saying that the bureau’s preconceptions regarding Hour’s sexual orientation had a significant role in their discriminatory nature, which the bureau had no right do. Lennix thought that her desire to bring about transformation stemmed from a very personal place and wasn’t merely motivated by her desire to make the system better. Although Ashley Poet disagreed with what he was saying, she had no choice but to carry out her bosses’ orders. Even after providing a compelling presentation and dispelling all of the agents’ questions and skepticisms, Hour Nazari was instructed to turn off her program right away.
How Did Tayo Michales Find Mark Tupirik?
Mark Tupirik, who had slain his colleague and was looking for a chance to bring down the FBI, was difficult for Tayo Michaels to track down. Tayo was running out of ways to apprehend Mark because he was a dangerous man. He was holding a Tupirik follower, but even after being interrogated for several hours by the agents, the man was so unyielding that he had not even said a word. Tayo Michaels was aware that by using Hour Nazari’s software, he might be able to uncover a secret clue that he had previously been unable to perceive. However, Tayo’s coworkers were adamantly opposed to it and warned him that doing so would set a dangerous precedent. They were confident in the software’s ability, but they were concerned that if they used it to solve such a complicated case, they wouldn’t be needed any longer. However, the clock was ticking down, Tayo was getting agitated, and he saw no chance of finding the terrorist.
Around that time, Tayo’s wife was attacked by Mark Tupirik’s men in Class of 09 Episode 3, which marked a significant turning point in the investigation. After he ran out of patience, Tayo stopped caring what the other agents thought of him. He used Nazari’s algorithms to Tupirik’s supporters, and almost immediately made progress. They traced a truck belonging to the same company after he determined they were using a construction company as their front, and Mark Tupirik was eventually apprehended and taken to jail. When Tayo was discovered, Mark was plotting something significant and assured him that the job had already been done, adding that he would love to see the agents’ stern faces when his scheme came to fruition.
What Did Garcia Want To Tell Ashley Poet Before He Died?
Ashley Poet was highly perplexed in the year 2034 in the future timeline and had no idea how to reveal the truth. Prior to being assassinated by the FBI, Amos Garcia, with whom she had previously worked closely, had visited the Poet’s home with a message for her. Just before he was shot, Amos gave Poet a card, but Poet had no idea what it was for. The issue was that they no longer had any freedom at all because the AI had effectively seized control of every aspect of their existence. They felt that they were being used as puppets by the robots to instruct them on how to conduct their company because they were continuously flying under the radar. Poet and Hour first crossed paths in Class of 2009 Episode 3 when they visited Amos Garcia’s home in search of any information that would help them understand why he had overnight become a threat to the FBI.
At the conclusion of Class of 2009 Episode 3, Poet entered Garcia’s home and went into the same space that featured many screens in the pilot. The moment Poet inserted the card into the slot, all the screens turned on and a recorded video message with comments from Garcia about how the FBI’s technology for tracking down criminals felt like it had a mind of its own was shown. Even Nazari had realized that this system was acting independently as opposed to the one she had designed. It didn’t require people, and it was capable of coming to a variety of conclusions and making predicting arrests on its own, occasionally without cause or rhyme. Tayo was employing a risky system, and he was privy to information that he was keeping from others. Tayo may not have taken into account the fact that there were some things that a machine could never accomplish. A human is frequently led in the right route by intuition, which AI is unable to achieve.
The bulk of the agents in the 2009 batch were frustrated with the situation, but little could be done about it. Hour Nazari and Ashley Poet came to the realization that in these trying circumstances, they needed one other more than anything else. They had to discover the reality and learn what was going through Tayo’s thoughts.
