Jeong-Suk had fainted in the previous Doctor Cha episode, and she had been taken to the hospital. When her condition was examined more extensively, it became clear that she had been jaundiced because her liver was headed toward irreparable destruction. She had been put on the transplant list, but In-Ho was hesitant at first. Her mother then turned to her cousin for assistance, but his family forbade him from doing so as well. Later, In-Ho offered his assistance, but he masked his hesitation and rejoicing behind his mother’s antics, who had torn up the donation form and had forbade him from doing so. Roy Kim performed a successful operation at the end of Doctor Cha Episode 1 despite In-Ho’s antics. After the operation, Jeong-Suk awoke and swore at the doctor before drifting back to sleep.

Cha Jeong-Suk s Realization: Better Late Than Never
After the procedure, Jeong-Suk’s life was exactly as it had been before she became ill. A few minutes into Doctor Cha Episode 2, she had undergone a surgery that had been life-threatening, but nothing had changed. She continued to be treated like a maid and reprimanded for any errors. Jeong-Suk, however, decided to not let it slip again after taking the time to pay attention to the people in her immediate vicinity and how they treated her. A close call with death was all it took for her to defend herself against them. She had been dispatched to the department shop by Ae-Sim, Jeong-Suk’s mother-in-law, to pick up her exclusive and branded bag.
Jeong-Suk recalled how Ae-Sim had prevented In-Ho from giving and how, fortunately, a donor had passed away just then in the emergency room, allowing her to proceed with the procedure. She thought differently than she had in previous years and started living for herself after seeing In-Ho feign doubt behind his mother’s antics. Shopping was the first step, which involved using In-Ho’s funds and at first perplexing him with the cost. Then, when she hits him in the middle of the night, he justifies her behavior by attributing it to a side effect of the operation. The following day, she behaved in the same manner. She stopped preparing meals for others and demanded that they do so on their own out of a refusal to be regarded as a servant. She began going out more frequently, purchasing new clothing for herself, and indulging herself to the indulgences she had previously shunned in order to maintain her modesty and be a nice wife and daughter-in-law. Due to her new and unusual behavior, her relatives began to think she was nuts. She afterwards went out to celebrate the new self and her struggle for happiness with her friend.
What Did She Demand?
She ultimately learned when Jeong-Suk had conceived Jung-Min while spending the evening with Baek Mi-Hee. Seung-Hi, who was dating In-Ho at the time, had left on an international vacation while they were on the school outing. In-Ho offered to care for Jeong-Suk after she hurt her ankle during the outing. Jeong-Suk had conceived Jung-Min while alone with In-Ho in a hot room due to a sprained ankle, and In-Ho proposed to her right away. Seung-Hi’s heart had been broken by their romance, but the three of them had stuck behind to continue their schooling. Jeong-Suk made amends for her error by pleasing her husband, her mother-in-law, and her children as well as by quitting her job in order to support them. She decided to be a little more self-centered this time. Additionally, Mi-Hee persuaded her to petition In-Ho to add her name to the house deed documents.
The following day, Jeung-Hi demanded that In-Ho perform that while also making time to see Jung-Min, who was an intern at the same hospital. However, Jeong-Suk decided not to meddle and let Jung-Min be because he was already receiving criticism from his superiors for his error. Roy Kim and her randomly crossed paths as she was leaving. In order for Kim to email her the photos he had taken of her during her tour as a doctor for the day before she underwent surgery, they exchanged phone numbers. Kim decided to let her delight in being a doctor once again because she had voiced her desire to practice once more and that she had never wanted to stop. Kim enquired as they traded images whether she wanted to rehearse. At first, she had laughed it off because she couldn’t imagine anyone hiring her at her age. Kim suggested that she attempt when her mother urged her to concentrate on herself and restart her academics; this sparked a desire in her to resume practicing.
Doctor Cha Episode 2 Ending Explained: Did Cha Jeong-Suk Finally Apply for Residency?
Later that day, Kim spoke with In-Ho. In-Ho had spoken to his mother about the situation and asked for her opinion, demanding that her name be added to the house deed. This made it simpler for him to dismiss her suggestion before it festered once more. He thus offered to speak with her but declined, which led to a disagreement when she seized the chance to ask his opinion on starting to practice again. After making fun of her, he challenged her, saying that if she took the residency exams right away, she would fail. They then compared their test results. She accepted the challenge and submitted an application for the residence tests. She spent the entire night studying, making sure that neither In-Ho nor any of her other family members knew she was getting ready. However, the very next day, Ae-Sim brought her to a French restaurant and made it obvious that Ae-Sim was the one who had rejected adding Jeong-Suk’s name, and that it was because they were wealthy and had traditions.
Ae-Sim reluctantly offered her automobile to Jeong-Suk as a consolation; however, he refused it right away and went back to his studies after their lunch. On the test, she received a score of 49 out of 50 while her son, Jung-Min, received a 45. She decided to work in Seung-Hi’s division and modified her appearance before submitting an application for residency at the same hospital as In-Ho. During the interview process, Jung-Min learned of his mother’s resumed practice. However, despite the fact that she had been turned down because of her age and her liver transplant, Jung-Min continued to support her decisions and advised her to reapply. The following day, however, she received a second call, and Jeong-Suk met Seung-Hi, her supervisor, while In-Ho was inwardly cursing himself for allowing the two to interact. Although Seung-Hi had tried her best to deny Jeong-Suk’s application, her brilliance came through and she was accepted. Seung-Hi was aware that she had applied and had requested In-Ho to take care of it and stop her from applying, but it had been a little too late.
Final Thoughts:
It was beneficial that Jeong-Suk started defending her interests. She received support from Mi-Hee, Roy Kim, Jung-Min, and her mother as she set out to resume practicing. She had been undercut by In-Ho, yet his challenge and unruly conduct had encouraged her to apply and strive. She had gone back to working herself to death for her family, which had made the beginning a little bumpy, but she quickly realized her error and adjusted how she lived for herself. The preview for the upcoming episode simply proves that she will succeed despite Seung-Hi constantly criticizing her when she was in residency. In the trailer, there is also discussion of getting a divorce; Roy Kim makes the suggestion. There will undoubtedly be numerous shocks in the upcoming episode.
