Drops of God, a new television series from Oded Ruskin, debuted its first episode on April 21. The popular manga Drops of God or Kami no Shizuku, written by Tadashi Agi and illustrated by Shu Okimoto, serves as the inspiration for the television show. Oded Ruskin adapted the manga into the series because of the manga’s enormous international fan base and France’s strong preference for it. The plot centers on a father and daughter’s complex connection. It goes in-depth on the psychological damage the daughter has experienced and how, despite the desires of her mother, it was her father’s dying wish to reconnect with his daughter. The show centers on Camille, who heals from her tragedy by putting behind her a string of miscommunications that caused the father-daughter relationship to fall apart. The oenological research in Drops of God are extensive and greatly aid in the audience’s understanding of the wine industry.

Why Does Camille Not Drink Alcohol?
The first episode of Drops of God features a young Camille developing her palate to learn and comprehend various tastes and odors. She was introduced to various tastes while wearing a blindfold so that she could identify their distinctive textures and flavors and accurately identify the taste’s family. The series’ theme is already established at the opening of the episode by Issei, another character in the show. As a result, young Camille was undergoing training to compete with her father’s history as a sommelier. But when the action moves to the present, Camille is introduced as a young woman who has already published a book. She is seen going to a bar to meet up with her companions, where she runs into a man who claims to be a fan. While they were conversing, Camille’s father gave her a frantic call, telling her to come to Tokyo right now. In order to save her time from wasting it waiting to meet with him, he had also mailed her plane tickets. He reveals that he is going to die and that he would like to meet her one more time when she indignantly asks him the reason for his eagerness. Despite having conflicting emotions inside of her, Camille returns to the bar to excuse herself just to have the guy intercept her. He asks her to drink, and when she declines, he forces her to drink by drinking the shots himself and kissing her. As a result of the assault, she accidently swallows the drink, and she immediately reacts to it. She experiences a nosebleed and faints, requiring emergency medical attention. The once-aspiring sommelier appears to have developed an allergy to the very beverage that her father was regarded as a genius in.
Did Camille Get To Meet Her Father?
She sat down with her mother after leaving the hospital and informed her about her choice to meet with her father. When she first learned about the incident with the man in the pub, her mother had first offered her support. She encouraged Camille to go out and date more, but her encouragement halted when Camille revealed that she would be traveling to Tokyo to see her father, Alexandre L ger. She quickly began to control Camille’s emotions while constantly insulting her by referring to her as fragile. Till Camille had departed for the airport, she didn’t stop. Luis Inglese, a dependable friend of Alexandre’s, welcomed her as she boarded the private aircraft. After informing her of her father’s passing, Luis took her to one of his eateries. The chief sommelier of the Luis restaurant group, Miyabi, who she met, expressed her condolences to Camille. Here, Luis learned that Camille abstained from all alcoholic beverages. Luis then drove her to Alexandre’s home in Tokyo so she could rest up before going to hear the will be read and participate in the cremation service. She spent some time looking around the house before calling her mother, who then started using her as a pawn against her father. After telling her of his passing and saying farewell, Camille immediately hung up.
Drops Of God Episode 1 Ending Explained: What Did The Will Of Alexandre L ger State?
The following day, Camille was led to Aexandre’s legal office where his will was read out by Aexandre’s attorney, Fran ois Talion. She had been shocked to see Alexandre’s student Issei Tomine seated there. Issei was a highly bright oenology student, and Alexandre had taken him under his wing to both provide him with the instruction he deserved and to fill the void left by his wife’s insistence that he stay away from Camille. Issei faced constant pressure from his family to quit his profession and work for his parents instead. When he learned of the passing of his beloved professor, he was in a meeting with Miss Sayaka of the Konoe Group. He did not hesitate to take part when he was asked to be a part of the will because it was his escape from his controlling family. After reading the will’s contents, Camille and Issei learned that Alexandre had created a series of tests to decide who among them was more deserving of the estate and his personal wine collection. In order to correctly identify the wine they would drink, Issei and Camille had to pass three tests in which they had to name the grape, vintage, and estate of the wine. Included in this were the smell test to accurately identify the aromas, the color test to accurately identify the age, and the taste test to support their conclusions.
Final Thoughts: What Was L ger s Real Wish?
At first, Camille had been utterly upset and irritated by her father’s antics, and she had even considered giving up her fortune. She was prepared to attend the funeral and then depart for France. After the funeral, she went back to the Tokyo estate, where Luis took her to see Alexandre’s personal collection. When Camille turned 18, Luis would open this bottle of wine to celebrate and share a glass with her, according to a message that was left inside an unopened box of wine. This let off a flood of emotions, and Camille suddenly felt as though she had had lost her father. Camille had turned down a message that Luis had been determined to share that Alexandre had left before he passed away. As she made her way outside, she changed her mind, and Luis relayed the news.
In the message, Alexandre had predicted her feelings and used the tests to get in touch with his daughter. He merely wished to reunite with his daughter and communicate with her as best he could in his natural environment. He expressed regret for not being a better father, but he insisted that his daughter should emulate him and learn more about him because he was a brilliant sommelier. He instructed Camille to sharpen her senses once more at the Domaine because he desired the chance he had previously missed when she was young. Philippe Chassangre, who had been in charge of Domaine while Camille was a child, owned it. He would assist her in the identifying process as well as in regaining her palate. While his message was being played, Camille saw that she was having fun playing the memory game. She perceived herself as eager to participate in the game and was pretty serious as they started. As her memories were altered and the things she had loved were now connected with disgust, this suggests that she may have caused the psychological trauma together with her mother. As Camille made her way toward Domaine, Drops of God Episode 1 finished on a note promising an intriguing beginning, and the flashbacks convinced her to investigate her memories and also further prepare for the tests.
