It is revealed in Mrs. Davis Episode 2 that Simone’s parents didn’t get along, and during her childhood, she often witnessed them fighting. Although the world was aware of Simone’s father as a gifted magician, it was actually her mother, Celeste, who was the brains behind each magic performance and whose equipment was responsible for Monty Abbott’s rise to fame. Celeste was developing a new tool that she was keeping a secret from anyone. Because her own husband always made sure that the attention was on him, Celeste always thought that she never received her fair part of the credit and that the public failed to acknowledge her skills.
On the other side, Monty thought that even while Celeste was talented, she lacked the flair and elegance necessary to perform on stage and draw a crowd. When Celeste wasn’t home, Monty persuaded Simone to unlock the door to the chamber where she stored all of her masterpieces. A gullible Simone trusted her father when he promised to repair his relationship with Celeste provided he acquired the device. That motivation was more than sufficient for a young Simone, who yearned for her parents to get along. To ensure that no one would enter and see what was kept inside, Celeste had put in place a number of security precautions to defend the room. An arrow struck Simone in the stomach as soon as she unlocked the door. Simone was somehow saved, but she discovered that day that her father was a self-centered individual who put himself before anybody else.
In Mrs. Davis Episode 3, it was revealed that Celeste thought her husband had staged his death in order to flee everything and live quietly in exile. Simone had not seen her mother in a very long time, and when she finally did, she understood that Celeste had been watching her every step because she thought Monty couldn’t possibly fake his own death. Celeste was informed by Simone that it was a very delicate subject and that she preferred not to discuss it. Celeste was only being too paranoid, according to Simone, who claimed that her father had indeed passed away in front of her eyes.
Simone Meets Wiley s Resistance Group.
A card of the queen with a number printed on the back has been provided to Simone by the AI. Simone went to Jay’s restaurant to tell him everything and ask for his guidance on what to do because she didn’t know who it belonged to. Simone went to Wiley’s covert location because Jake was nowhere to be located. In Mrs. Davis Episode 2, Wiley introduced Simone to the members of his resistance organization who had prepared a comprehensive presentation to explain what the algorithm was up to. The presentation was given by a man by the name of JQR, who informed Simone that the algorithm was nothing more than a complicated code and that its entire purpose was to divert its users by sending them on these quests, so preventing them from paying attention to the actual problems that were taking place in the world.
JQR explained to Simone that everything needed to be managed from a server farm. He claimed that since she had been chosen, she would be sent to work in the server farm. The algorithm’s many other intriguing procedures and rules, as well as how it made sure that everyone was under its control, were made public by JQR. The system handed wings to persons it deemed deserving, similar to the Twitter blue ticks. JQR claimed that it was nearly hard to meet the requirements necessary to be deemed respectable. Because of this, the algorithm very cleverly devised another shortcut by which a person may attain that elevated position. In essence, the person had to visit their neighborhood pyramid center and request an expiration date. The user has to deliberately give oneself to the algorithm and get burned on the date indicated by the tattooed expiration bar code on their skin.
Simone returned to Jay’s restaurant once more, and this time she discovered him there. The last person in possession of the Holy Grail, according to Jay, is a woman by the name of Clara, who he named. Jay recommended Simone to bring Wiley along with her on the adventure because she was unsure of the difficulties she would encounter. As soon as Wiley received the confirmation from Simone, he prepared to go on the adventure with the love of his life.
Why Did Wiley Want To Win The Excalibur Battle?
The phone number was on the back of the card that the AI had given Simone, and she dialed it. Simone and Wiley came to the conclusion that the man on the other end might know something about the whereabouts of the Holy Grail because he knew who Clara was. They followed his movements and discovered that he was on his way to Scone, Scotland, to participate in an occasion called Excalibattle. Wiley took part in the unusual contest where competitors had to keep their hands on a large sacred blade at all times. The contestant who survived the longest won and was deemed worthy. Although Wiley entered the game with the intention of learning anything from the elderly guy, his goals later shifted to selfish gain. Wiley had always thought of himself as an amazing bull rider, but following the passing of his grandfather, he realized that what he had always taken to be true was actually a plan by his parents to get him a liver transplant. Wiley came to the conclusion that none of the victories or awards he was so proud of were his due.
Wiley had begun to doubt his own value, and when Simone left him and joined the religion, his worst nightmares came true. He thought she left him because he wasn’t brave enough to ride the bull, but the truth was totally different from what he thought. Wiley discovered that the old man and he share many characteristics. The reasons the old guy and Wiley participated in the Excalibattle were identical. Additionally, the elderly man desired to establish his credibility before a woman who had robbed him of his titles. He informed Wiley that the woman, who was most likely Clara, was scheduled to meet up somewhere close to the Loch of Drumellie, a freshwater lowland. In Mrs. Davis Episode 3, we also learned that Wiley had requested for an expiry date and had obtained the wings because he wanted to demonstrate his worth to everyone, especially Simone. He sought to establish his suitability for donning his cowboy boots. He desired Simone to regard him with respect and to perceive him as a brave guy who would sacrifice anything for her pleasure. Even after winning the contest, Wiley had a tremendous lot of pain due to a misunderstanding and came to the conclusion that he didn’t care if Simone discovered the Holy Grail or not.
Mrs. Davis Episode 3 Ending Explained: Did Jay Exist In Reality?
Wiley entered a bull riding competition to show the world that he wasn’t a coward after being informed that he hadn’t earned his accolades. Simone prayed, maybe for the first time, to save Wiley’s life because she didn’t want him to put his life in danger by competing. Wiley was quite embarrassed as a result of his last-minute withdrawal. He worried that Simone would judge him, but she was joyful because her prayers had been heeded and the love of her life had been saved by the gods. Simone was taken to a restaurant during her prayer, or perhaps she had a clairvoyant vision, where she first met Jay. She couldn’t tell if she was dreaming or if everything was actually happening. She confessed to Wiley that after meeting Jay, she had been persuaded to give up her life and become a nun.
We understood that Jay represented the Almighty and had come to lead Simone and show her the way. Because Simone was a real devotee and didn’t harbor any ill will, it’s possible that Jay just lived in her mind and showed up whenever she needed assistance. Her actual body remained on the ground where all the pianos were stored, but we observed how her consciousness was able to travel to Jay’s cafe. Due to the nature of Simone and Jay’s connection, Wiley became envious. They had a close relationship because she saw herself as one of Christ’s brides, and it was difficult for her to explain to Wiley how her relationship with Jesus worked.
We learn that Father Ziegler kidnapped Wiley toward the end of Mrs. Davis, Episode 3, because he was curious about Wiley’s source for his shoes. Mrs. Davis, a.k.a. the algorithm, gave those shoes to Simone and instructed her to give them to her traveling partner. We’ll discover out in forthcoming episodes why Father Ziegler was so interested in the shoes and whether Simone is ultimately successful in locating the Holy Grail.
