The mystery drama series Saint X on Hulu begins to lose steam with the fourth episode itself, with what appears to be a needlessly convoluted and lengthy plot. The protagonist, Emily, who wants to learn more about her elder sister’s tragic death during their Caribbean vacation twenty years ago, was introduced in the first three episodes, which debuted last week. In the present, Emily runs into Gogo, one of the case’s top suspects, in New York and has been attempting to get to know him in order to find out more. The victim, Alison, has been in focus in sequences from the past that Saint X has also been presenting, revealing what she was up to throughout the trip. Episode 4 now moves forward on both sides and offers a few, but important, Gogo-related disclosures.

How Had Alison Been Spending Her Vacation Days?
The flashback scenes once more center on Alison as she enjoys herself at the Caribbean islands’ Indigo Bay resort. It had previously been established that Alison was truly motivated to seize any chance that came her way while still remaining totally unrestricted throughout the entire vacation. She keeps up her relationship with Tyler, the Yale student, and she also uses it as a way to get out of awkward circumstances. Alison uses the justification that she will be hanging out with Tyler whenever she wants to go somewhere she does not want to tell her parents about. The parents, who have no problem with their daughter dating a young, intelligent white man, find this to be very convenient. Alison is undoubtedly involved in a more emotional and intense romance with Edwin, a staff member at the Indigo Bay resort, in addition to her naive relationship with Tyler. Edwin is already well-liked by the visitors thanks to his charisma and capacity for accommodating everyone. Additionally, Alison is aware that her parents would be horrified by her romance and would never approve of it, which makes her relationship with Edwin all the more exciting and enjoyable. Once more, the two have romantic moments, but Alison is adamant that she is not ready for sex just yet, and Edwin agrees to honor her wishes.
In Saint X Episode 4, Alison’s new friendship with Olivia—the only other young woman at the resort—becomes much closer. Within a very short period of time, the two developed a close friendship. They discuss their relationships with men as well as their families. Olivia develops a good relationship with Alison’s parents and sister and offers to watch young Claire, as Emily was then known, so that Bill and Mia may attend an event and Alison can go on a date. Even at one point, Olivia appears to be attracted to Alison physically as she changes before their spa appointment, making it plain that she is seeing Alison’s self-assurance. Such a romantic fling for Alison thrown into the mix would not be too odd either, given how Saint X is developing.
The middle-aged man Ethan, who constantly looking at Alison everytime she goes by, is another person with whom Alison clashes. This had been noted by Ethan’s expectant wife as well, but it hasn’t stopped yet. As the evil man is never able to comprehend how the young woman is going about her life, Ethan was also the one to insult Alison very early on. She then commands Ethan to quit ogling her and destroying her day. Ethan enters his room without saying anything and uses Alison’s shorts, which he had taken from the beach, to touch himself. Although it had previously been revealed that Ethan’s physical limitations prevented him from engaging in sexual activity with his pregnant wife, it is now obvious that he has a perverse attraction to Alison. The only thing keeping us interested in this duo appears to be Saint X’s ongoing development of Ethan’s persona as a potential suspect in Alison’s death.
In Saint X Episode 4, it is also shown that Bill Thomas is beginning to have second thoughts about his daughter Alison’s indulgent romantic behavior. When Edwin helps Alison in any way, Bill notices his enthusiasm and disposition. He also notices the two frequently brush past one another. Bill’s first real concern arises when Alison excuses herself for the day, claiming that she will be with Tyler, despite the fact that he senses something in their exchanges. However, the man notices Tyler playing soccer with his friend Wes, indicating that Alison is with someone else as Bill and Mia spend the afternoon at the beach. The only person Bill confides in about this uncertainty is Gogo, the bartender, and the motive for doing so appears to be to warn Edwin to keep away from his daughter.
How Does Emily Try To Befriend Gogo At Present?
In order to keep her best friend Sunita informed, Emily keeps trying to make friends with Gogo in Flatbush. Emily keeps going to the eatery that Gogo frequents despite Sunita’s objections and acting as though she runs into him every time. Even Gogo eventually realizes that Emily is simply coming to see him, but he stays silent about it. One day, the man experiences a severe panic attack inside his taxi as he is plagued by memories of the past and has a hallucination of the evil witch who was a part of local tradition. Gogo seems to be beginning to experience some loneliness in his life, and he is at least somewhat open to sharing this with Emily. The first turning point occurs when Emily inquires about some bizarre experiences Gogo might have had while operating a taxi in New York, and the man agrees to tell a few anecdotes. A day or two later, when their favorite restaurant has to close early, Gogo offers to bring Emily home. Emily plainly sees this as an opportunity to get to know Gogo better. However, it soon becomes apparent that the man is not traveling in the direction of Emily’s house but rather to another location as the two depart in Gogo’s cab. Throughout all these meetings, Sunita would always keep an eye on Emily from her parked car outside the restaurant, but on this particular occasion, she is unable to follow due to traffic.
But when the taxi finally stops, it becomes clear that Gogo has no malice and has merely transported Emily to a location he considers restful. She explained that she felt lonely in life despite having a partner since she had severed ties with most people in her life or even scared them away when he had earlier questioned her why she would spend so much time with him at the restaurant. Gogo notices that Emily is not in a good mood, so he brings her to a peaceful area where she can see the Statue of Liberty and explains how gazing at the gently lapping waves helps him unwind and fall asleep. Emily takes advantage of the opportunity to talk about her troubles and a recent mental breakdown. The woman, who was editing a documentary, became obsessed with it and one day had a terrible collapse in front of everyone. Gogo is now talking openly about his kid, who is 21 years old, and how he put his old life in his native nation behind. Gogo talks hazily about a former best friend he had—definitely Edwin—with whom he had not communicated in twenty years since he had proven to be someone quite different from what Gogo had believed him to be. Despite not mentioning any names or specific incidents, he does so. In the end, Gogo drives Emily home, and at this point, they had gotten along well.
Why Did Gogo And Edwin Have A Fallout Twenty Years Ago?
When Gogo confides in Emily about how his friendship with Edwin has ended, it appears that Alison’s passing is to blame. The same thing is assumed by Emily, who seeks to learn more about Edwin but is rejected by Gogo. While it’s still possible that this contributed in some way, Gogo had another motive for severing all ties with Edwin. Gogo was arrested for having cocaine in his home shortly after Alison’s body had been discovered and the police had determined that her death had been an accident. Gogo didn’t want to keep the cocaine at his home because it was his grandmother’s and he didn’t want to involve her in the situation, but Edwin persuaded him to do so. Gogo accepted Edwin’s offer of 10% of the earnings, possibly more so because he loved his closest friend so much. But Gogo’s decision had already backfired on him because he was forced to serve time in jail and was separated from Sara and his beloved son. Edwin attempted to visit Gogo when he was imprisoned during this time, but he repeatedly refused, only agreeing to see Bery, the young woman who used to watch his son.
Gogo was instructed to support his son and his estranged partner when he returned to Sara after being released from prison. Gogo made the decision to move to New York and work hard so he could send money to Sara every month because he was determined to take responsibility for their actions. The man struggled with this choice since, as he had earlier said Edwin, he preferred to stay at home with his family to travel to the US. Gogo settled into a small apartment in New York, which he had to share with several other people, and started working as a cab driver. When Sara complained to the man about not getting paid once, the man got unwell and was unable to work for a few months. Sara continued by telling Gogo that since she had just gotten married, she no longer required his assistance. She did not immediately tell who her husband was, despite Gogo pressing her to, and it appeared that Keithley—the wealthy man who had been after Sara ever since they were children—would be the answer. However, Sara confesses that she is truly married to Edwin in a phone call Gogo had with her in the past towards the end of Saint X episode 4. Gogo’s best buddy, who had actually been responsible for his demise, had now also taken away his cherished family. Because of this treachery, Gogo was unable to forgive Edwin and subsequently cut off all ties with him.
What Can We Expect From Saint X Episode 5?
More discoveries regarding the past can be anticipated as Emily and Gogo grow closer in the present timeline, but the entire information will obviously be revealed throughout the course of the season. Josh, Emily’s boyfriend, had seen the two of them together in front of their house and was immediately suspicious about what was happening; possibly this will also turn into a drama-filled plot point in subsequent Saint X episodes. The previous timeline will also reveal how Alison’s time at the Indigo Bay resort was spent with her numerous suitors. Bill’s skepticism of Edwin and Olivia’s interest in her may also be further explored.
