The sixth episode of Yellowjackets season 2 has returned following a week’s absence. In the previous episode, Shauna went into labor, and Taissa and Van were reunited after a long separation. Misty was determined to save Natalie when she was able to get inside Lottie’s healing clinic. It was obvious that the wellness facility would serve as the location for the Yellowjackets’ reunion because Taissa’s alternate self desired to travel as well. The current chronology urgently needs to be saved. It has gotten quite tedious to watch because the writers don’t appear to know what will happen to the characters. With a third season in the works, the series will undoubtedly go beyond what is necessary, even if the reunion heightens the tension. Let’s go through the in-depth synopsis of Yellowjackets Season 2 Episode 6.
Warning: Spoilers
Natalee and Missy
After understanding she might have persuaded Travis to kill himself, Natalie pointed the finger at herself. He was inspired by her idea and wanted to face the environment by risking his life as much as he could. Travis did not mean to pass away, but the woods claimed his life. The last thing Travis saw before passing away is still a mystery. Natalie reviewed her vision and began to get a better understanding of what was going on. She commented on how similar everyone was when she met Misty at the wellness center. They were all plagued by a gloom that prevented them from relating to anyone else. The thing that consistently pulled them back together was their common trauma. Misty relished the focus she was given at the center. She became a fan right away because she was pals with Lottie and Natalie. When Lottie urged her to stay to assist Natalie in recovering, she gave the idea some thought. Initially, she intended to confront Lottie and bring Natalie home.
Taissa And Van
Although we are unsure of what transpired between Tai and Van in the past, Tai still has feelings for her. Van made the decision to ignore Tai’s attempts. She refused to explore the past because she is only interested in aiding Tai. When she talked to her other self, she discovered that Taissa thought they were supposed to be somewhere else. When Taissa was pondering where her dark side wanted her to go, Misty called her right away. Misty told her that she and Natalie were staying at Lottie’s healing center. Since Lottie had been diagnosed with schizophrenia, it seemed improbable that she would be allowed to leave the rehab facility where she had been confined. Van agreed to deliver Taissa to the destination. She didn’t want to know anything about the wellness facility. We learn that Van is single and only favors casual dating as we travel to the destination. She claims that it has nothing to do with Taissa, but she might be telling the truth. She didn’t want Taissa to think less of her, and perhaps that was the motivation behind her desire to demonstrate her independence. She was actually going through emotional, financial, and physical pain. Van is certainly not a sharer, but it appears that something awful occurred to cause her to completely lose faith in Lottie. It’s also possible that Van regretted catering to Lottie’s demands in the bush later she was identified as having schizophrenia.
Shauna and Callie
Police were called to the home of Shauna Shipman and her daughter Callie to question them. Callie learned that the guy she had started crushing on was a police officer in the previous episode. Shauna made an effort to deflect the police’s attention from Matt Saracusa, but he was a difficult man to get rid of. He didn’t hesitate to examine the protection left in the hotel room because he was so interested in the case. Its lotion-filled interior furthered his suspicion that Shauna Shipman was not telling the truth. Even though Jeff started the situation, he had no clue it would get this bad. His wife was not the only one in peril; Callie was now also implicated. Despite her best efforts to remain composed during the police questioning, Shauna eventually lost her composure. She disliked the way her life was going. She married Jeff out of social obligation even though she had no intention of doing so. She didn’t want to have children, but she had little control over the decision. She thought that although life had prevented her from being decent, she had initially been a good person. Shauna acknowledged having an affair with a man she met by chance. Matt Saracusa made a confession of sorts.
Callie, meanwhile, resisted providing Kevyn with any information. Instead, she alleged that Matt Saracusa had pushed himself upon her. She was underage, and her accusation might ruin him. Callie had unwittingly been given the idea by Shauna, and she took advantage of it. The police may be motivated to carry with their inquiry in light of Shauna’s rather frank confession, however Callie’s charge may be a little roadblock. They might be able to unravel the enigma with Walter Tattersall’s assistance. Will the citizen investigator, however, report his findings to the police?
What Happened To Shauna s Baby?
The kind of nightmare you would expect is giving birth in the bush with the help of a bunch of teenagers. Misty could not concentrate on healing Shauna because of the blood on her fingers, which made her think about her best friend, Crystal. Coach Ben was equally ignorant about the procedure as Coach Ben was about the students’ struggles. While some people concentrated on assisting Shauna with giving birth, another group made the decision to pray to the wilderness spirit to keep Shauna and the baby safe. They sacrificed blood and gave the spirit what little they had. Shauna was awakened by her infant’s cries. She promised to always be by her healthy baby boy’s side as she held him tight. Shauna originally had difficulty getting her baby to latch on, but after repenting to him for her hateful actions, the baby did. Shauna was in a state of unmatched bliss at that very moment. Shauna awoke from a nightmare in which her teammates were consuming her infant. She was shocked to discover that the happiness and the suffering she had gone through were all dreams. She lost blood and collapsed after her baby died inside her. Shauna was permanently affected by the horrible and traumatizing reality.
In episode 6, the writers attempted to deceive the viewers by making them think Shauna gave birth to a healthy boy. The most obvious prediction was that Shauna’s baby would die, but perhaps the writers wanted the audience to entertain the improbable possibilities for a little while. Given that the boy was not present, I was both shocked and a little repulsed to think about what the Yellowjackets might have done to the infant. I imagined that the infant might have been snatched by the night or given to a spirit by Lottie. Shauna was horrified when she saw the Yellowjackets devour the baby, which was one of the scenarios that was implied. But happily, it was just a dream, and it turned out that Shauna had indeed lost her child in the forest.
Yellowjackets’ sixth episode concludes with the eagerly awaited reunion. After years of being separated, Tai, Lottie, Natalie, Misty, and Van were finally reunited. Since their personal lives were relatively uninteresting, it only made sense for the writers to group them together for the drama. Will they eventually confront their inner darkness and recover from their trauma? The Yellowjackets are being sought after by the darkness. Will there be more carnage?
